New to ibotta and have already been having fun shopping for savings. The cost of shopping has made it a chore I hat over the years so this is great!

I was wary at first but I have absolutely enjoyed it!!!! I was so glad to share it with others :) I also loved treating myself to a $30 Starbucks gift card. ☕️☕️☕️
I get money back for the things I already buy! It might take a while to build up a balance to cash-in, but who cares! Im getting money back for stuff I already buy! Thats way better than nothing! Plus you can use the e-gift cards easily! Love it!

I love this app. We use it every time we go to the store to buy anything. A friend has told me about it. So glad I decided to download it.

Some bad moments

Used to be a 5-star until they started "improving" it. Now its a lowww 2. Keep screwing with it and you will make it so unwieldy as to no longer be worth the effort. Like the Nielsen Group system was. It took me a year to return it. You wont get that long. I wish they would reinstate the ability to mute certain products so I wouldnt have to constantly see that Zest thinks I stink, when in actuality, Zest stinks...and burns my flesh off my body because of its high lye content. I also wish they would bring back the page where I can see all the rebates for one store in one scrollable page instead of just as parts of their category. In addition to that, I wish they would reinstate the *New* section so I can see any I have not activated without having to scroll through every single rebate I will never use. Also, I wish they would allow you to find all the recipes in a single place after you activate a rebate. Because this catch it or lose it forever thing is horrible. Another addition would be fixing the database. I tried to activate a legitimate item, but the app refused it. Ive had trouble with several of these. ****GRRRRRRRRRRRRR**** so much so I stopped using the app for a long while. I am glad it has started allowing you to skip part of needlessly long boring ads. Now if they would stop repeating the same ads over and over again... Fix it or lose customers. Because you have crossed over to inconvenience that isnt worth the quarter I might save.
I qualified for the $10 welcome bonus and Ibotta refused to give it to me. Waste of time and money purchasing unneeded products!
Another Update: Unless youre buying only groceries, I would recommend the Receipt Hog or Ebates app. Ive switched. They both make it more worth your time with a higher percentage of cash back. The rebates are mostly grocery and unpopular brands now on ibotta. Im taking off another star. I havent earned more than a dollar since the last major update. C- Update: The rebates grow fewer in number each year. Its more difficult to earn rebates now. Ive made $90~ back but thats because I redeemed the Spend & Earn rebates for beauty purchases like Sephora, White House, Black Market, and The Body Shop; all those rebates have now disappeared. No online rebates have returned either since February... I dont know whats going on with ibotta but the moment I reach my next cash out amount I might just give up. Pros: Ive cashed out before and had no problems. The rebates are easy to redeem. Cons: All the online rebates seem to have disappeared recently. There isnt as much variety. They start to withhold rebates if you redeem the same one a few times. There could be improvements made but its doing okay so far. B+
I wish it went back to scanning receipts for Best Buy purchases. Im not always with my husband when he buys things and now I missed out on the $10 HP printer & $10 Best Buy rebates because thats what he happened to buy me for Mothers Day so of course Im surprised and upset. I have had this app for 2.5 years and love it. The little $0.25 on generic stuff adds up and you scan the receipt after purchase.
I referred 2 friends to use the app and they didnt receive the referral credit promised. Emailed them about the problem and all they said was that they did not sign up through the referral link. This is a lie because personally opened the account for them since they were having trouble. I like Savingstar better, more user friendly and easier to redeem coupons.
This app is awful. It doesnt have any of the stores I shop at most. The cards I have linked on the app dont work.
